Dear Delegate,

The 2015 Aging and Society Conference will be held at The Catholic University of America, Edward J. Pryzbyla University Center in Washington D.C., USA, from 5-6 November.
SPECIAL CONFERENCE FOCUS
Inter-Generational Relationships
The aging population is increasing at an unprecedented rate. In 2006 there were almost 500 million people aged 65 and older with that number projected to increase to 1 billion by 2030. By 2050 1 in 5 people will be over the age of 60 with more people 60 and over in the world population than between the ages of 0-14. With an increasing aging population it’s more important than ever for the generations to learn how to relate to each other. Different values and perceptions of the world can lead to difficulties in relationships and links that facilitate understanding across generations need to be created. The 2015 Aging and Society Conference special focus on inter-generational relationships will explore the barriers, benefits, and ways to facilitate inter-generational relationships.
